You are bidding on a SUPERB and VERY RARE example of a 100% ORIGINAL WW2 German Wehrmacht Wood “Trench Art” Storage Box, made on the Russian Front!
Made of wood and straw, this box is in EXCELLENT used condition! Features a large German National Eagle on the front, with various floral inlays and flower motifs. Has prominent 1943 date. The inside is lined in red. Measures approx. 8″ x 5″ x 2.5″. probably used to store photos, paperwork, and personal items. Some marks, wear, and stains and stains…and some of the straw has come away/is missing…but nothing that detracts. A FANTASTIC addition to any collection or display!!!
