Description
The T.FuG.k transceiver was introduced in 1943. It transmits on the same frequency range as the Torn. Fu. f and receives on the same range as the Torn. Fu. c. The vacuum tubes in the TFuG.k are the RV2,4P700 type, in contrast to the other Torn.Fu.* models that employ the RV2P800 tubes.
The Sender covers the frequency bands of 4.5 – 6.67 MHz; while the Receiver covers the frequency band of 3 – 6.67 MHz.
Made of aluminum and steel, this T. FuG. k Radio Transceiver is in VERY NICE used condition! Though there are some marks, scratches, dents and wear, it still retains 90% of its original wartime paint and finish! This was captured and brought back by the allies for testing and evaluation, and as such features an, “EEIS” (Enemy Equipment Intelligence Service) number hand-painted on to the top. The AMAZING feature is that this was obviously in service with a German Artillery Unit, as it features a hand-painted tactical symbol on the bottom! 100% complete internally, and mechanically functional, however, I have not tested it for electrical functionality. Should be a good restoration candidate for anyone wishing to get it to work. All switches and dials work as they should. Missing the front cover, but originals (and reproductions) come up quite frequently, as they are often missing. A VERY RARE radio it would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection or display!
Note that as this weighs approx. 45lbs., I have ESTIMATED a general shipping cost. A more accurate shipping cost will be calculated at the end of the auction, based on the winning bidder’s address.
