You are bidding on an EXCELLENT used example of a 100% original WW2 German Wehrmacht / Luftwaffe Panzer / Sd.Kfz. Funksprechgerat. f. Radio! This was used in various halftracks and armoured cars.
(Fusprech) radio was for the time period considered one of the world’s best compact transceivers ever
developed. Built by Telefunken, Strassfurt Imperial, and Staßfurter Broadcasting
GmbH, they were mainly installed in the Sd.Kfz. 250, Sd.Kfz. 251, Sd.Kfz. 234, and various other PSW.
They were designed to be mounted inside the crew compartment for short range vehicle to vehicle communications, and operated
only on a VHF bandwidth since they were only required to cover a relatively
short distance. Three versions were produced, specifically, the a, d, and f models.
Made of steel, aluminum, and bakelite, this is a VERY NICE example! As you can see in the photos, there are some marks and wear, but it still retains 95% original paint! Dated 1944, all data labels and plates are intact! I have tested this for function, and it is 100% FUNCTIONAL! The only issue is that when a speaker is attached as FULL volume, there is an occasional “clicking”. I was told that this is the result of a faulty capacitor. As such, the capacitor will need to be replaced, if one wished to use it routinely. Solid with no damage, all tubes are present. Outer case appears to have been re-painted. No lid/cover is included, but those come up for auction quite frequently. I have shown it’s location in the last photos (Sd.Kfz. 250 Sd.Kfz. 251). Would be a PERFECT addition to any collection or restoration project!

——————- ABOUT ME —————–
Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
