Description
The Richtkreis 31 (RK 31) aiming scope was developed for Artillery and MG units, and was used for measuring horizontal and vertical angles. It was an important instrument for initially sighting guns of all sizes prior to firing, and could be used for indirect fire on both the MG34 and MG42 lafettes. It also was used with mortars and other heavy artillery. In addition, the Rk 31 shares the same tripod and support head as the SF 14z periscopes.
