You are bidding on an EXCELLENT example of a WW2 German Wehrmacht RAD Reichsarbeitsdienst Commemoration Award Plaque! These were usually awarded for bravery or other special accomplishments/duties during the war.

Made of a gold/bronze-colored stamped metal plate, embossed RAD Eagle, and Badge, this item is in SUPERB used condition! At the bottom, it is written, “Arbeit Adelt”, along with the unit, 7/76 Sigtrygg. The back features a transparent mica plate (though it has yellowed over time), and a card depicting the member’s Passport Photo and Unit Information – usually these are both missing! There is some slight wear due to the age, but nothing that take away from the overall appearance. Measuring an approx. overall size of 4″ x 7″, it would be a PERFECT addition to any collection or display.
