You are bidding on an EXCELLENT example of a 100% original WW2 German Wehrmacht Patronenkasten 34 Storage Box! This box was carried by troops, or inside tanks and armoured vehicles, to store parts and equipment for the roof mounted or coaxial MG.
Used to store belts, links, spare parts, tools, and other equipment, this box is in AMAZING used condition! Retains approx 95% original Dunkelgrau paint, with various marks and wear from storage. Latches function 100% correctly, and it features a prominent manufacture stamp on the top (appears to indicate a date of 1939)! This came to me full of ammunition and grease, so the inside would need to be cleaned up a bit. These were heavily used by Fallschirmjaeger, due to the weight (lighter than the steel versions). Would be a PERFECT addition to any collection, display, or restoration project!
