WW2 German Wehrmacht Nahkampfmesser – COMBAT TRENCH KNIFE / DAGGER – NICE!

 As bayonets were typically long and heavy, some soldiers ended up privately purchasing various styles of hunting knives.  Throughout WW2, numerous manufacturers produced these types of knives, available for both private purchase and military issue. 

Made of wod and steel, this German Combat Fighting Knife is in EXCELLENT condition considering its age. The blade is slightly marked, as you can see in the photos, but nothing that detracts. The scabbard is original to this knife, but features some marks, wear, and paint loss. No maker’s mark that I can see (typical). Would make a SUPERB addition to any collection or display!
