WW2 German Wehrmacht – MP38 / MP40 CANVAS MAGAZINE POUCHES – REPRODUCTION SET #2

You are bidding on a VERY NICE set of REPRODUCTION WW2 German Wehrmacht MP38/MP40 Canvas Ammunition Pouches! These were issued to all personnel who utilized the weapon throughout the war.

In August 1938 the German army adopted the newly developed MP38. It was heavily used by infantrymen, paratroopers, platoon and squad leaders on the Eastern and Western Front.  Further developments and improvements and the need for a cheaper mass produced weapon resulted in the introduction of the MP40 in April 1940.  From 1940 to 1945, an estimated 1.1 million were produced by Erma Werke.  Individuals equipped with the MP38/40 were issued a pair of specially designed ammo pouches which each held three thirty-two round magazines.

Made of lightweight canvas and cotton, this MATCHING set of MP38/MP40 Ammo Pouches are in SUPERB condition! They were aged to look worn, with some slight marks & wear as you can see in the photos. Feature the manufacture code, “hzk44” on the reverse. Would be a PERFECT addition to any collection or simply for display!
