Description
Accurate intelligence and secure lines of communication were critical to all armies during WW2. The German Luftwaffe Signals personnel utilized a wide variety of radio receivers and field telephones in all theaters of operation. One of the common pieces of Equipment was a Morse Telegraph Key, which could be used with most radios. The advantage of the telegraph, was that the signal traveled twice the distance than that of voice signals.
Made of bakelite and steel, this T1 Radio Morse Telegraph Key is in EXCELLENT used condition. There is some slight wear and marks due to the age but nothing that detracts. It comes complete with the original cord, however the rubber is a bit stiff, and the plug is missing (easy replacement). It features the inscription: Vor dem Offnen Stecker Herausziechen
(Remove plug before opening)
No Heer stamps/ markings that I can see, so it was most likely used within the Luftwaffe. I have shown similar versions in use in the last photo. Would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or restoration project!
