Description

You are bidding on a SUPERB and VERY RARE example of an ALL-MATCHING 100% ORIGINAL WW2 German Wehrmacht / Luftwaffe MP38 / MP40 Partial Parts Kit!

Designed in 1938 by Heinrich Vollmer with inspiration from its predecessor the MP 38, it was heavily used by infantrymen (particularly platoon and squad leaders), and by paratroopers, on the Eastern and Western Fronts as well as armoured fighting vehicle crews.  Its advanced and modern features made it a favorite among soldiers and popular in countries from various parts of the world after the war. It was often called “Schmeisser” by the Allies, after Hugo Schmeisser, who designed the MP 18, although he was not involved in the design or production of the MP40. The weapon’s other variants included the MP 40/I and the MP 41. From 1940 to 1945, an estimated 1.1 million were produced by Erma Werke.

Made of lightweight steel, this MP38/40 Parts Kit is in SUPERB used condition!  Some obvious marks, stains and wear, however it is VERY SOLID!  It is marked, “ayf 43”, indicating it was manufacured by Erma in 1943.  All parts are marked with the serial number, “4229”.  Comes complete with the Lower Receiver/Trigger Group, Folding Stock, Barrel, Barrel Nut, Rest, Collar Nut, Front & Rear Sights, Hand Guards, and Magazine.  No damage that I can see.  Some small parts like the Safety Ring and a few pins are missing (easy replacement).  Bore is a bit dirty, but features some very good rifling.  All this is mounted to a solid aluminum receiver for display.  GUARANTEED 100% ORIGINAL, it would be a PERFECT addition to any collection, restoration project or simply for display!
