Description
The Iron Cross was re-introduced on September 1, 1939 (based on the original 1813 & WW1 Prussian Design), in two distinct classes. The 2nd class award was presented to anyone displaying an act of bravery; the 1st class for anyone displaying 3 or more acts of bravery.
Made of a die struck alloy, this Iron Cross is in SUPERB unused condition! Some slight marks, wear, and tarnishing due to the age, but nothing that detracts. The front features an embossed cross/swastika, along with the date, “1939” at the bottom. The back side recognizes the original institution date, “1813”. NO manufacture markings that I can see. A PERFECT addition to any collection or display! Please email me if you need additional photos or information.
