You are bidding on an EXCELLENT and VERY RARE WW2 German Presentation Award Plaque! These were usually awarded for special accomplishments / duties during the war, specifically from the production side. This one specifically commemorates 25 Years of Service at the Duralumin Factory.
called duraluminum, duraluminium, duralum, dural(l)ium, or dural) is a trade
name for one of the earliest types of age-hardenable aluminium alloys. Its use
as a trade name is obsolete, and today the term mainly refers to
aluminium–copper alloys, designated as the 2000 series by the International
Alloy Designation System (IADS), as with 2014 and 2024 alloys used in airframe
developed by the German metallurgist Alfred Wilm at Dürener Metallwerke AG. In
1903, Wilm discovered that after quenching, an aluminium alloy containing 4%
copper would slowly harden when left at room temperature for several days.
Further improvements led to the introduction of duralumin in 1909. The name
is obsolete today, and mainly used in popular science to describe the Al-Cu
alloy system, or ‘2000’ series, as designated by the International Alloy
Designation System (IADS) originally created in 1970 by the Aluminum
Made of solid cast Dural, this presentation plaque is in SUPERB condition for it’s age! It features a prominent 2- dimensional image of transport/bomber aircraft (similar to a Ju90), flying over the Duralumin Factory. The wording indicates the following:
Für 25 Jahre Treue Dienste
The above basically translates to, “The Workmate – For 25 Years of Dedicated Service“
There is some slight wear due to the age, but nothing that take away from the overall appearance. Measuring an approx. overall size of 8″ x 11″, it would be a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!

Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items.
