You are bidding on a FANTASTIC and 100% ORIGINAL set of WW2 German Wehrmacht Leather Winter Over-Mittens!

The Wehrmacht issue over-mittens (specifically the white leather variant of the Kälteschutz cold-weather mittens), were issued to both Army (Heer) and Luftwaffe ground units in cold regions (notably the Eastern Front). The white version is less common than the grey or tan canvas-and-fur combinations, and was typically used over a wool liner glove for snow camouflage or work detail use. These mittens were produced for cold-weather environments where dexterity was less critical – for sentries, vehicle crews, or field troops.

Made of leather by A. Eichel & Co., Offenbach am Main, these 1943-dated mittens are in SUPERB New Old Stock condition! Constructed from thin white leather, unlined, with a stitched thumb design and stitched-on wrist strap. The interior is rough suede, as typical of wartime Wehrmacht leatherwork. Overall condition is VERY GOOD, showing light surface soiling, minor creasing, and small storage scuffs, but no tears or heavy wear. The RBN and date stamp are clear and fully legible inside the cuffs, indicating, “0/0256/0005″. A VERY RARE item, it would make a SUPERB addition to any collection or display!
