Description
Similar in design to the 1-tonne and 5 tonne variants, the Sd.Kfz. 251 and Sd.Kfz. 11 track links were 280mm wide, in order to compensate for the additional weight of troops, guns, equipment and armour plating. They went through 4 style changes as the war progresses.
Made of solid manganese-nickel steel, this Track Link is in AMAZING relic condition! This is the first model type developed in 1938, and remained in use throughout the war. Though they did make a simpler steel version, this style was actually more widely used and more preferable. As it is relic condition, there is some slight pitting, but is VERY solid otherwise (probably usable). Still retains a large damaged section of the original rubber pad, but that can be replaced quite easily, as they come up on auction quite regularly. Manufacture markings are also legible, and it still retains traces of the original paint! Comes with the original pin. I have shown the exact track type in the last photos. Weighing approx. 16 lbs., it would make a PERFECT item for any collection, display, or restoration project!
