You are bidding on a VERY RARE used example of an early WW2 German Wehrmacht Rubber/Canvas Bayonet Frog!
Made of rubberized canvas, this early Bayonet Frog is in EXCELLENT used condition! Manufactured in 1941, this is a RARE and unique variation of the standard K98 Bayonet Frog. Rarely seen by this maker and in this material, it was manufactured by “C. RIESE BERLIN” in 1941 (the only year these were made). Some marks and wear due to the age, but still quite solid, but otherwise is in EXCELLENT condition! Features the manufacture stamp and date on the reverse, but it is a bit hard to make out. Has a slight field repair by having 2 rivets installed for strength. Would make a SUPERB addition to any collection or display!
