Description

You are bidding on a BEAUTIFUL example of a WW2 German Army Canvas Gemaschen (Gaiter/Spat)! This type was used between 1938 and 1945.

The German Gemaschen were designed to cover the soldier’s boots from the ankle up to prevent snagging, and keep stones, mud, dirt, dust etc. from getting inside the soldier’s boots.

Made of canvas and leather, this is an EXCELLENT and 100% ORIGINAL example!  It is maker marked (hard to read), and has a manufacture date of 1941.  Easily identifiable as being war-time (as opposed to post-war)due to the construction and materials.  Sadly, I do not have the opposite side…just this one.  Some marks and wear but VERY SOLID otherwise.  Overall an VERY NICE and interesting item…would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection or display!

All sales are final, so please make sure your questions are answered to your satisfaction before you purchase.

——————- ABOUT ME —————–

Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft. If you are looking for anything specific and cannot locate it, feel free to contact me as I probably have it or at the very least, a contact who does!
