You are bidding on a SUPERB used example of a WW2 German Wehrmacht 8.8cm KwK36 Inert Steel Shell Casing! This was used by Germany’s famous Panzer VI “Tiger” and FlaK 18/36/37 anti-aircraft / anti-tank weapons! Though wartime produced, this was used by Finland during and after the war, and as such, features a post-war ink stamp on the side.

The 8.8 cm KwK 36 L/56 (German: 8,8 cm Kampfwagenkanone 36 L/56) was an 88 mm tank gun used by the German Heer during World War II. This was the primary armament of the PzKpfw VI Tiger I tank.  It was developed and built by Krupp.

The 8.8 cm Flak 18/36/37/41 is a German 88 mm anti-aircraft and anti-tank artillery gun, developed in the 1930s. It was widely used by Germany throughout World War II and is one of the most recognized German weapons of the conflict. The gun was universally known as the Acht-acht (“eight-eight”) by the Germans and the “eighty-eight” by the Allies. Due to its lethality, especially as a tank killer, the eighty-eight was greatly feared by Allied soldiers.

Made of steel, this is an AMAZING piece of history! There is some obvious wear and mark, due to the age, however it remains VERY SOLID!  Lots of headstamp markings on the bottom. Measures approx. 23″ in overall height, and 4″ in diameter. Would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
