You are bidding on a SUPERB relic example of a WW2 German Wehrmacht 8.8cm KwK43 Steel Shell Casing, as ONLY used by Germany’s famous Panzer VIB “King Tiger” and Panzerjäger Tiger (P) “Elefant” Tanks!

The 8.8 cm KwK 43 (Kampfwagenkanone —”fighting vehicle cannon”) was an 88 mm 71 calibre length tank gun designed by Krupp and used by the German Wehrmacht during the Second World War. It was mounted as the primary armament on the Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf. B Tiger II. The 8.8 cm Pak 43, an anti-tank gun, was very similar in design but mounted on tank destroyers (Elefant) or deployed stand-alone on the field.  

Made of steel, this is an AMAZING piece of history! Found in a Polish Battlefield, there is some slight corrosion, dirt, and pitting, however it remains VERY SOLID! A couple tiny cracks in the rim, but NO holes or dents anywhere! The headstamp markings cannot be seen at the moment, but I suspect they could be seen after cleaning. “Greetings from Poland”, has been written into the side. INterior is VERY clean! Originally part of a small museum collection. Measuring a VERY LARGE 32″ in overall height, it would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
