WW2 German Wehrmacht / Kriegsmarine – 8.8cm KwK36 HIGH EXPLOSIVE STEEL ROUND & CASING – Panzer VI “TIGER” / COASTAL ARTILLERY – VERY RARE!

You are bidding on an EXCELLENT example of a WW2 German Wehrmacht (Kriegsmarine) 8.8cm KwK36 Inert High Explosive Steel Shell & Casing! 100% INERT, this was used by Germany’s famous Panzer VI “Tiger” and FlaK 18/36/37 anti-aircraft / anti-tank weapons!

The 8.8 cm KwK 36 L/56 (German: 8,8 cm Kampfwagenkanone 36 L/56) was an 88 mm tank gun used by the German Heer during World War II. This was the primary armament of the PzKpfw VI Tiger I tank.  It was developed and built by Krupp.

Made of steel and aluminum, this is an AMAZING piece of history!  There is some slight wear, corrosion, and pitting from storage however it remains VERY SOLID!  All the paint is original to this item, and many of the markings are still legible! The steel casing still retains MUCH of the original paint and all markings are 100% LEGIBLE, indicating a production date of 1942. Some marks and wear, but nothing that detracts. The RARE aluminum High Explosive Fuze is dated 1945 and has a VERY CLEAR Kriegsmarine Inspection stamp! Probably utilized by Coastal Artillery FlaK crews (though the fuze could be changed out to a more common / standard fuze if one wishes. Measures approx. 40″ in overall height, and 4″ in diameter.  Would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
