You are bidding on an EXCELLENT set of WW2 German Heer / Luftwaffe 6×30 Binoculars & Case! These were brought back by US veteran at the end of the war.
The German Army used a wide variety of optical equipment, including a 6×30 (6 power magnification with 30mm objective lens, being the standard issued optics used by all branches of service). Though this type was the standard, specialized personnel required stronger optics (such as this 10×50), and were issues to personnel on a limited basis.
Made by Carl Zeiss Jena of a large tooled alloy and aluminum construction, these 6 x 30 power binoculars are in EXCELLENT used condition! The lens bodies retain about 95% of their original, rough textured, black finish. The aluminum end piece fittings retain about 95% of their original finish, as well as the bakelite eye cups. Some slight chips and wear, but nothing that takes away from the overall appearance. The focus adjustments still function perfectly on both eye pieces and the optics are still very clear with almost NO spotting (there are some very tiny dust particles, however they do not show up in the photos). The body is well marked with the impressed designation, “Dienstglas 6 x 30”, (Service Glasses), the serial number, “1858960”, and an “H/6400” (indicating a +30/-30 Gradient Scale). The manufacturer Carl Zeiss Jena, as well as a clear waffenamt are present. The strap and rain shield are both original to the set, and feature NO damage!
The case is a nice bakelite variant, in EXCELLENT condition, and features a 1944 dated K98 Sling for use as the carry strap! The sling is still quite nice, but it is weaker in some areas. A VERY NICE set, it would make a great addition to any collection!

——————- ABOUT ME —————–
Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
