You are bidding on a VERY NICE REPRODUCTION example of a WW2 German Waffen SS ELITE EM/NCO Leather Belt and Buckle!
Military belts and buckles date back hundreds of years, and were originally designed for attaching swords and daggers. First introduced in 1936, the steel versions replaced the earlier aluminum and nickel versions.
Made of stamped steel, and leather, this 1940 pattern buckle is in SUPERB condition, and it retains MUCH of it’s original paint and finish! There is some slight dirt and very minor traces of rust, patina, and wear, but it could easily be cleaned up if needed. The leather belt features a manufacture stamp indicating a production date, however it is difficult to read. Good markings inside the buckle as well. 100% complete, it would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
