Description
You are bidding on an EXCELLENT and EXTREMELY RARE example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Umschaltknopf für Drehzahlanzeiger (Tachometer Pushbutton), Fl. 32348, as ONLY used in the Me262 and Arado Ar234! Turbo Jet aircraft!
This button was used during engine start-up procedures. Held down when starting the engines, it placed the tachometer in the low speed range. The button was released once the engines have started fully, and the pilot is preparing for taxiing.
Made of aluminum, this push button is in EXCELLENT unused condition. It is 100% complete, with no corrosion or damage! It is stamped with the Fl. number, indicating Fl. 32348, as well as a nice SIEMENS manufacture stamp. I have indicated its location in the last photos. I have only ever seen a handful of these in the past 20 years, making it a VERY RARE addition to any collection, display, or restoration project!
*** NOTE***
As I have multiple quantities in stock, the item you receive may look slightly different than the example shown in the listing photos. Also please know that the item depicted is the worst one I have in stock, with corrosion on the nut at the reverse. All the others I have are near MINT (no corrosion anywhere).
