Description
This instrument was part of the fighter oxygen system, and measured both the Oxygen Flow and Pressure from the main tank. This reduced the use of 2 sperate instruments, and saved on space and production time. Unlike most German gauges being produced very late in the war, this was a simple stamped steel casing. Though designed specifically for use in the He162, a few very late variants of the Me262 were known to have used this type.
Made of aluminum and steel, this instrument is in AMAZING used condition and dates between 1944 and 1945! 98% of the original finish remains, and the RARE data label is 95% intact! Some slight marks, wear, and corrosion on the steel casing, but this can easily be cleaned up. Brought back by a US veteran, I have shown it’s position in the He162 and Me262 cockpit in the last photos. A VERY RARE item it is a PERFECT addition for any collector, display, or restoration project!
