WW2 German Reviglass Dunkel – Tinted Gunsight Glass #2 – Revi 16A 16B 16D EZ42

1 in stock

You are bidding on a VERY RARE relic example of a Dunkel Reviglass (Tinted Gunsight Glass), Fl. 52272, as used on all versions of the Revi16, and EZ42 Gunsights.  This gunsight was used on the Me109, Fw190, Me262, and others fighters and jets!  This came from an aircraft wreck, however I do not have any history on the loss.

This late style Reviglass was manufactured around 1942-1945, and was used until the end of the war.  The Revi16 entered production to replace the outdated Revi C12/D, and was designed with the Spitfire in mind.  The aiming reticle was made in such as way that a Spitfire would fit the aiming circle from edge to edge at 300m, and each increment marking represented 6 mils.  This was the main sight the pilot or gunner used when sighting targets (aircraft or ground).

Made of cut, tinted glass, this item is in EXCELLENT relic condition.  There is some scratching, stains, and some small chips, however these are not too noticeable and could easily be easily buffed out.  The Fl. number is clearly etched into the top edge, clearly indicating Fl. 52272.  100% original and NOT a reproduction!  Could be cleaned up quite easily.  Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection, display, or restoration project!

——————- ABOUT ME —————–

Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
