You are bidding on a SUPERB and VERY RARE example of a 100% original WW2 German 7.5cm Pak39 L/48 Geschützvorrat Storage Box! This was used to store all the onboard tools, spare parts, and lubricants on ONLY the Jagdpanzer 38 and Jagdpanzer IV/48!
The 75mm Pak 39 (L/48) (7.5 cm Panzerabwehrkanone 39) was a WW2 German
anti-tank gun. The gun was used to equip Jagdpanzer
IV/48 and Jagdpanzer 38 “Hetzer” tank destroyers. The Pak 39 was an electrically
fired weapon fitted with a semi-automatic breech mechanism and a 48 caliber long
barrel. It was a formidable gun, able to destroy the most common allied tanks at
up to 1,000 meters. It used the same 75 x 495R ammunition as the 7.5 cm KwK 40
of Panzer IV and 7.5 cm StuK 40 gun fitted on the Sturmgeschütz assault guns.
The Pak 39 was manufactured from 1943 onwards by Rheinmetall-Borsig AG in
Unterlüß and by Seitz-Werke GmbH in Bad Kreuznach. The main types of ammunition
used were: Panzergranatpatrone 39 (APCBC), Sprenggranatpatrone 37 (HE) and
different versions of the Granatpatrone 39 HL
Made of wood, and used to transport various tool, lubricants, and spare parts, this box is in EXCELLENT used condition! Found in Europe, there are some very slight marks, wear, and surface corrosion, however it is still VERY SOLID and retains 95% original paint! The original stencil still remains on the top, indicating:
7.5 cm PaK 39L/48
Sadly, the internal separator is missing. Hinge and latches function 100% correctly! Could also be cleaned up quite easily for display! EXCEPTIONALLY RARE in this condition, I have indicaed where it was stored in the Jagdpanzer 38 in the last photos (though this restoration has not installed the correct box). Would be a PERFECT addition to any collection or restoration project!

As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
