Made of paper, this document is in EXCELLENT condition! Featuring signatures of both Karl von Eberstein and Rudolf Demme, it is dated July 15, 1935. It mentioned his approval of the official evaluation of Untersturmfuhrer and Knight’s Cross recipient Max Schafer, signed beneath his holograph approval at the conclusion. The document is also signed by Rudolf Demme, German Panzer General and recipient of the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. Max Schafer (1907-1987) was a Standartenfuhrer (Colonel) who later became the commander of all pioneers in the III Panzer Corps, serving with distinction at Leningrad and Oranienbaum. He was also a recipient of the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. Some marks, wear, and creases due to the age, but nothing that detracts. 100% original, it would look EXCELLENT framed! A PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
