Description
You are bidding on a 100% original example of WW2 German NSDAP Blank Stationary / Letterhead, as once belonging to Joachim von Ribbentrop! This original unused sheet was produced for Ribbentrop’s personal use and bears the Berlin address associated with his official residence at Wilhelmstrasse 73, as well as his embossed family crest.
Joachim von Ribbentrop (30 April 1893 – 16 October 1946) served as German Foreign Minister from 1938 until the end of WW2 and was one of the most prominent figures in Nazi Germany’s foreign policy apparatus. His official residence at Wilhelmstrasse 73 occupied the former Palace of the Reich President in Berlin, which was extensively renovated for his use beginning in 1938. Period documents confirm Wilhelmstrasse 73 as the official residence and working address of the Reich Foreign Minister, and correspondence from Ribbentrop and his staff was issued from this location throughout the war. The building itself had previously served as the residence of the German Reich President before being incorporated into the government complex and remodeled for Ribbentrop’s official use.
This letterhead is an AMAZING piece of history! Made of high-quality period stationery paper, this original sheet remains in EXCELLENT unused condition! Brought back by a US Serviceman, it features some marks and wear due to the age, but nothing that detracts. It bears the printed Wilhelmstrasse 73 Berlin address together with the blind-embossed Ribbentrop family seal. The sheet remains completely unused with NO writing, tears, bends, creases, repairs, or other notable damage, showing only very slight age-related toning consistent with wartime paper. Everything is 100% ORIGINAL, wartime manufacture, making this a VERY RARE surviving piece of personal stationery directly associated with Joachim von Ribbentrop!
