Description

You are bidding on a FANTASTIC and EXTRAORDINARILY RARE example of a 100% ORIGINAL WW2 German Luftwaffe Assessment of Enemy Aircraft Armor, titled, “Passiver Flugzeug Schutz bei Künftigen Jagdflugzeug vom Konstrukteur aus gesehen”!  This was produced by Messerschmitt AG.

This is an AMAZING and EXTRAORDINARILY RARE reference.   Specifically covering the armor protection in British and American aircraft, it features a 16 page report, along with 3 photos; 7 charts; and 7 overhead transparencies!  Includes various notations, instructions, descriptions, and diagrams.  Produced around 1944, it is marked with the following:

“Passiver Flugzeug Schutz bei Künftigen

Jagdflugzeug vom Konstrukteur aus gesehen”

(Passive aircraft protection for the future

fighter plane seen from the designer)

Printed in a LARGE A4 format.  Has some marks, wear, and folds due to the age, but nothing that detracts.  Covers the Me109 E/F, as well as the P-51 Mustang, Supermarine Spitfire,  Hawker Hurricane,  Westland Whirlwind, Curtiss Kittyhawk / Mohawk, Airacobra; and DeHavilland Mosquito.  Photos 4 and 12 (along with the corresponding transparencies) are missing from this report, but it is otherwise complete.  A VERY RARE item, it would make a SUPERB addition to any collection or display!

——————- TERMS OF SALE —————–

Most of my items are vintage, and as such are AS-IS, so you must therefore expect a degree of wear due to age and/or usage. I will describe each auction to the best of my knowledge and take as many photos necessary to ensure you are pleased upon receiving your item. All sales are final, so please make sure your questions are answered to your satisfaction before you purchase.

——————- ABOUT ME —————–

Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
