You are bidding on a VERY NICE example of 100% ORIGINAL WW2 German Luftwaffe Wendehorizont (Turning Horizon), Fl. 22415-1! This type of horizon was commonly used in the Me262, Fw190, Me163, Ho229, and others!
This instrument measured the turn angle and side-slip of the aircraft, relayed the current horizon. It was connected to the main electrics (Umformer) and was located on the main instrument panel on many German fighters.
Made of aluminum, bakelite, and steel, this horizon dates around 1945, and would have been used right up until the end of the war. Brought back by a US veteran, 90% of the original finish remains, however there are some marks and dents. The data label is 90% intact! The dial still glows when UV light is applied, and it still retains the original electrical wiring!. Some light wear to the paint on the internal glass tube. Locking mechanism is stiff (would need lubrication). Some screws missing on the bezel, as well as at the rear. A RARE variant, it would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection, restoration project, or panel re-build!

All sales are final, so please make sure your questions are answered to your satisfaction before you purchase.
——————- ABOUT ME —————–
Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
