Description
This instrument measured the turn angle and side-slip of the aircraft, relayed the current horizon. It was connected to the main electrics (Umformer) and was located on the main instrument panel on many German fighters.
Made of aluminum, this horizon dates around 1943, and would have been used right up until the end of the war. 90% of the original finish remains, with some slight marks and wear due to the age, however the data label is 95% intact! The dial also still glows when UV light is applied. Also retains the original electrical plug and wiring. Locking mechanism functions PERFECTLY. Some of the luminous paint is worn off, but it does not detract. Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection, restoration project, or panel re-build!
