This is a SUPERB and VERY RARE example of a 100% INERT 3.7cm FlaK Armour Piercing Round, as by Germany’s famous FlaK 18/36 Anti-Aircraft Gun!
The 3.7 cm Flak 18/36/37/43 was a series of anti-aircraft cannon produced by Nazi Germany that saw widespread service in the Second World War. The cannon was fully automatic and effective against aircraft flying at altitudes up to 4,200 m. The cannon was produced in both towed and self-propelled versions. Having a flexible doctrine, the Germans used their anti-aircraft pieces in ground support roles as well; 37 mm caliber guns were no exception to that.
Made of solid steel, this is a FANTASTIC piece of history! Completely inert, there are some slight wear, marks, and pitting on the round, however it remains VERY SOLID with traces of the original paint! The late-war steel casing is also strong, with various marks throughout. Some stamps and markings, but they are a bit faint. Would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
