Description
You are bidding on an EXTREMELY RARE example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Verteiler Hydraulic Distributor (8-3230 B-1), as ONLY used in the Messerschmitt Me109 hydraulic landing gear system!
The Me109 utilized a hydraulically operated undercarriage system incorporating separate working cylinders for the main landing gear, tailwheel, and associated landing gear covers. Period Messerschmitt parts documentation identifies this component specifically as the “Verteiler” within the “Öldruckanlage im Rumpf,” or fuselage hydraulic-pressure system. Mounted within the aircraft’s hydraulic installation, the Verteiler functioned as the central distribution manifold through which hydraulic fluid was routed between the control system and the various landing-gear actuators. Original Me109 hydraulic diagrams show the distributor connected directly into the main gear, tailwheel, and remaining cover-actuation circuits, making it an integral component of the aircraft’s undercarriage operating system.
Made of anodized aluminum and steel, this Verteiler is in EXCEPTIONAL NEW OLD STOCK condition! The assembly was NEVER INSTALLED and remains complete as unused wartime surplus. It does show accumulated dirt and storage residue from decades of storage and will require careful cleaning, however there is NO evidence of operational wear or use. The original data plate remains attached and indicates, 8-3230 B-1, still clearly readable. Small portions of the original data plate have broken away with age, however the primary identification remains intact and legible. The body, ports, fittings, and operating components remain exceptionally well preserved for an original WW2 aircraft hydraulic component. Everything present is 100% ORIGINAL wartime manufacture. I have shown its location in the last images. An EXTREMELY RARE opportunity to acquire a genuine NEW OLD STOCK Me109 Hydraulic System component directly identified in the original Messerschmitt parts documentation!
