Description
Made of aluminum and steel, this Luftwaffe Ukw.E.d1 Aircraft Communication Receiver is in GOOD used condition! Though there are some marks, scratches, dents and wear…along with some corrosion from storage, it still retains MUCH its original wartime paint and finish! The case itself features approx. 90% original paint, however there are some marks and dents, from use and age. It is fairly complete internally, only missing one plug in assembly section and an internal cover plate. Though it is mechanically functional, I have not tested it for electrical functionality. Should be a good restoration candidate for anyone wishing to get it to work. All switches and dials work as they should (the upper switch is frozen, however). Missing the front cover, however they do come up occasionally, if one wished to replace it. This was captured and brought back by the allies for testing and evaluation, and as such features an, “EEIS” (Enemy Equipment Intelligence Service) number hand-painted on to the side. Could use some clean-up and restoration. Note that it is not as “blue” as the photos depict (closer to a grey color). A VERY RARE radio it would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection or display!
