Description
The Me109 utilized a system of pushrods, levers, bearings, and intermediate pivots to transmit movement from the pilot’s control column through the wing to the Querruder, or aileron. The Messerschmitt Ersatzteil-Liste identifies this component as item 31, “Lagerung,” within the Umlenkhebel bei Rippe 4 vollständig, or complete bellcrank assembly at wing rib 4. This assembly formed part of the mechanical Querrudersteuerung inside the wing and transferred control movement through the system toward the aileron. The Lagerung served as the bearing support for the associated pivot shaft, allowing the linkage to articulate smoothly while maintaining proper alignment under load.
Made of aluminum and steel, this original Me109 Lagerung set is in EXCELLENT original condition! The housings remain complete and structurally sound with NO cracks, bends, repairs, or serious damage. The original pressed-in ball bearings remain installed and is clearly marked SKF GERMANY 13303, a period-correct self-aligning bearing type used in wartime mechanical and aviation applications. The bearing remains seated securely within the housing, and the component shows only light age-related storage marks and minor finish wear. The form and construction correspond directly with item 31 shown in the original Messerschmitt parts manual for the Umlenkhebel bei Rippe 4 assembly. Everything present is 100% ORIGINAL wartime German manufacture. I have shown their location in the last images. A VERY RARE original Me109 flight-control component set and an excellent addition to any advanced Luftwaffe, Messerschmitt, aircraft restoration, or control-system collection!
