You are bidding on a VERY NICE example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Aircraft Spornhalterung (Tail Gear Uplock Assembly Part), 109.100-19! Though this came from the wreck of an Me109 G10, this type was used on all Me109 F thru G series aircraft!
This support was part of the main uplock assembly, located at the rear of the fuselage. It locked the tail gear in the downward / extended position.
Made of steel, this Tail Gear Main Uplock Assembly in VERY NICE relic condition! Some marks, wear, and scratches…and was repainted at one point of time. I have shown its location in the last photos (please slo reference the complete assembly I have in another listing). Would make an PERFECT addition to any collection, display, or restoration project!
