Description
You are
bidding on an AMAZING used example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Aircraft 0-250
kg/cm2 Sauerstoffdruckmesser (Oxygen Pressure Gauge), Fl. 30496! Though this was
used on many German aircraft including the Me109, Fw190, Me110, Ju88, He111,
Ju87, He219, Hs129…this SPECIFIC example was recovered from a late-model Fw190
fighter, found at the remains of Nordholz Airbase,
Germany.
This instrument was part of the fighter/bomber oxygen
system, and measured the pressure flowing from the Oxygen Regulator to the
pilot’s oxygen mask. This was usually located on the starboard console of most
aircraft including the Me109, Fw190, Me262, Do355, Ta152, Go229, Ju87, He72
He219, Ju88, and Me163.
Made of a dark brown
bakelite, this instrument is in SUPERB used condition! Most of the original
finish remains, and there are no major scratches, dents, or damage to the
bakelite! The Fl. label is 95% complete, indicating Fl. 30496. The box features
a hand-typed label, indicating:
