WW2 German Luftwaffe Nahkampfmesser – COMBAT TRENCH KNIFE / DAGGER – "6" – NICE!

 As bayonets were typically long and heavy, some soldiers ended up privately purchasing various styles of hunting knives. Throughout WW2, numerous manufacturers produced these types of knives, available for both private purchase and military issue. 

Made of wood and steel, this German Luftwaffe Boot Knife is in EXCELLENT condition considering its age. The blade still retains its factory edge, with NO damage! Some very slight marks and wear, but nothing that detracts. Features a clear, “6” Inspection Stamp on the blade. One of the wood scales is a bit loose, but it is very minor. The scabbard is original to this knife, and condition matches that of the blade. One of the NICEST I have seen of its type, it would make an addition to any collection or display!
