WW2 German Luftwaffe Nahkampfmesser – COMBAT TRENCH KNIFE / DAGGER – "5" – NICE!

 As bayonets were typically long and heavy, some soldiers ended up privately purchasing various styles of hunting knives. Throughout WW2, numerous manufacturers produced these types of knives, available for both private purchase and military issue. 

Made of wood and steel, this German Luftwaffe Boot Knife is in EXCELLENT condition considering its age. THough there are some scratches and wear, the blade still retains its factory edge, with NO damage! Features a clear, “5” Inspection Stamp on the blade. The scabbard is original to this knife, and condition matches that of the blade. One of the NICEST I have seen of its type, it would make an addition to any collection or display!
