WW2 German Luftwaffe Nachtjagdgeschwader 3 – Logo Emblem on TILE – Me110 – RARE

1 in stock

You are bidding on a SUPERB example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Nachtjagdgeschwader Emblem!  Featuring the logo of Nachtjagdgeschwader 3, it is hand-painted and fired onto a ceramic tile.

3 (NJG 3) was a Luftwaffe night fighter-wing of World War II. NJG 3 was formed
on 29 September 1941 in Stade from Stab./Zerstörergeschwader 26. The unit’s
commanding officers were: Major Johann Schalk (1 December 1941 – 1 August 1943);
Oberst Helmut Lent (1 August 1943 – 7 October 1944); Oberst Günther Radusch (12
November 1944 – 8 May 1945).

Two aircraft that
served with NJG 3 are displayed together at the Royal Air Force Museum London,
one of the two sites of the Royal Air Force Museum. These are Messerschmitt Bf
110 G Werk Nr. 730301, which was surrendered to the British at the end of the
war in 1945, and Junkers Ju 88 R-1, Werk Nr. 360043, which came into British
hands in 1943.  Both aircraft are almost unique – each is one of only two intact
survivors of their type.

Hand-painted on a ceramic tile, this is an AMAZING one-of-a-kind item!  This is the emblem of  Nachtjagdgeschwader 3, and was originally made in occupied Holland.  Though it has some minor marks, scratches, wear, it is in otherwise EXCELLENT condition for it’s age!  The logo features a small shiled that I beleive signified NJG 215, but I am not sure.  Also “Holland 1941”.  Colors are VERY vibrant!  The reverse shows all the manufacture info.  The overall size is approx. 6″ x 6″ and would make a PERFECT item for any collection or display!

Most of my items are vintage, and as such are AS-IS, so you must therefore expect a degree of wear due to age and/or usage. All sales are final, so please make sure your questions are answered to your satisfaction before you purchase.

——————- ABOUT ME —————–

Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
