WW2 German Luftwaffe Kabinenabwurfhebel – CANOPY RELEASE HANDLE – Me109 – RARE!

You are bidding on a SUPERB example of a 100% ORIGINAL WW2 German Luftwaffe Kabinenabwurfhebel (Canopy Release Handle), 109.177-002-H010,as used ONLY on the Me109 G series aircraft!

This handle was located on the upper left side of the Me109 G Cockpit Canopy. It acted as the canopy release and locking mechanism or all models from G-1 to G-14.

Made of aluminum and steel, this handle is an EXTREMELY RARE item, and rarely found on the market. Removed from a wrecked aircraft, there are some slight marks and bends, however it still retains 95% original paint! Also still retains the original rubber grommet to prevent moisture from entering the canopy frame. I have shown its location in the last image. A EXCEPTIONALLY hard to find item this would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection, display, or restoration project!
