WW2 German Luftwaffe Horizont Horizon – Fl. 22427 #2 – Me110 Ju88 Me410 – RARE!

1 in stock

You are bidding on a SUPERB example of 100% ORIGINAL WW2 German Luftwaffe Pneumatic Horizont (Turning Horizon), Fl. 22427.  This type of horizon was used in the Me110, Ju88, and Me410 destroyer aircraft!

This instrument measured the turn angle of the aircraft.  It was connected to the main air pressure system and was located on the main instrument panel on many German aircraft.

Made of aluminum, this horizon dates around 1944, and would have been used right up until the end of the war.  Though it does have some marks and wear, it still retains MUCH of it’s original finish!  The Fl. number is complete, indicating Fl. 22427, as well as the the manufacture info and other data.  The dial still glows when UV light is applied and the locking mechanism still 100% functional!  Brought back by a US veteran,  I have indicated it’s location in the last photo (Me410).  A bit nicer than the other one I have on auction.  Some slight dirt on the glass, but that can be rectified if one wished.  Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection, restoration project, or panel re-build!

Please email me if you need additional photos or information.

——————- TERMS OF SALE —————–

Most of my items are vintage, and as such are AS-IS, so you must therefore expect a degree of wear due to age and/or usage. I will describe each auction to the best of my knowledge and take as many photos necessary to ensure you are pleased upon receiving your item. All sales are final, so please make sure your questions are answered to your satisfaction before you purchase.

——————- ABOUT ME —————–

Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
