Description
The standard issue M31 haversack, commonly referred to as the “breadbag”, was based on the M1887 haversack and was adopted by the Wehrmacht in 1931. It was designed to carry rations, eating utensils and other assorted personal items.
Made of a Blue canvas, this M31 Breadbag is in GOOD used condition! Some slight marks and wear, along with some field repairs, but still quite solid. Some slight staining, as well as some fraying in areas. Leather fittings (such as on the belt loops) are stiff, and will need to be softened. The VERY interesting feature is that it has various unit markings and stamps throughout! Would make for a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
