Description
You are bidding on a FANTASTIC used example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Elek. Druckgeber für Kraftstoffdruck (Fuel Pressure Sensor / Converter), Fl. 20571-3, as used in the Me109, Fw190, Me262, He162, Ju87, Ju88, and other German Fighters and Bombers!
This unit was produced around 1944 and measured the Hydraulic Pressure, specifically for the later 0-3kg/cm2 instruments. It essentially converted the pressure into an electrical signal, and sent that signal to the electrical instruments on the panel. It was used in most German aircraft that had the electrical pressure gauges installed, as opposed to the manual gauges.
Made of aluminum and steel by hdo, this sensor is in VERY NICE used condition. 90% of the original finish remains, however there are some scratches and marks due to the age. The Fl. label is stamped onto the surface and indicates Fl. 20571-3. I have not tested it for functionality, so I will leave that to the winning bidder. A PERFECT addition to any collection, display, or restoration project!
