You are bidding on a SUPERB and VERY RARE example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe 200 – 18000 U/min Drehzahlanzeiger (Electrical Tachometer), as used ONLY in late-war Prototype and Experimental Turbo jet Aircraft!
This late type tachometer dates around 1944-1945. Entering late, it was intended for use in prototype and experimental aircraft and engines. Such engine and aircraft include the Heinkel HeS 8, Heinkel HeS 011, Ta183, P.1101, Ju248, and He280! It measured the engine RPM, and was located on the main instrument panel (blind panel) of the aircraft.
Made with a black bakelite housing, this instrument is in EXCELLENT unused condition! Though there is some slight wear and marks, there is NO damage or corrosion! Data label is 90% complete, indicating the production number. One of the rarest instruments to locate, it would be PERFECT for any collector, restoration project, or simply for display!
