WW2 German Luftwaffe Bauchgurt – LAP SEAT BELT SET – Me109 Fw190 Me262 – RARE!

The Messerschmitt Me109 pilot restraint system incorporated both the Schultergurt (Shoulder Harness) and Bauchgurt (Lap Belt), which secured the pilot into the seat during flight and combat maneuvering. The lap belt attached at the sides of the seat and connected across the pilot’s waist, working together with the upper shoulder straps to form the complete Luftwaffe aircraft harness system.

Made of heavy cotton, leather, ersatz leather, and steel, this lap belt set is in EXCELLENT used condition! Some marks, wear,staining and surface deterioration to the webbing and hardware as shown. The original woven straps, adjustment hardware and central attachment fittings remain present, with some fraying and wear consistent with age and service use. I have shown its location in the last photo (Me262). An increasingly difficult-to-find ORIGINAL Luftwaffe aircraft restraint component that would make a FANTASTIC addition to any Me109 seat restoration, cockpit display or advanced Luftwaffe aviation collection!
