You are bidding on a SUPERB and 100% original WW2 German Luftwaffe Autographed Photo & Documents of Willi Solter!


Willi Sölter
joined the Wehrmacht in Kassel on November 1, 1934. In 1937 he enlisted in the
Air Force and received training as a pilot. As a relay officer he was
transferred on May 15, 1938 to 2./KG 53. There he flew his first missions over
Poland. From August 1940 to February 1941 he was Adjutant at 1./KG 77, in which he flew against France and England. He was then squadron commander at the
2./KG 77. Since June 1941 used in the East, Sölter received as Lieutenant on
September 9, 1941 Honor Cup and on December 29, 1941, the German Cross in Gold.
From July 1942, he was used in the ship targeting over Malta. Then he trained
on torpedo planes, which from 1943 attacks against convoys in the
Mediterranean, the Atlantic and the English Channel. In torpedo attacks on the
invasion front Sölter could sink a destroyer. On August 9, he received the
Knight’s Cross as captain and commander of I./KG 77.  He served until March 1945.

Made of paper this autographed photo is VERY NICE condition!  Features an autographed image of Solter, as well as some printed documents containing a biography.  Some marks and wear, but nothing that detracts.  100% original, it would look EXCELLENT framed!  A PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
