WW2 German Luftwaffe Aufhängung – BOMB / DROP TANK RACK MOUNT – Me109 F-K – NICE

You are bidding on a VERY RARE example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Messerschmitt Me109 Aufhängung am Flügelträger (External Stores Carrier Mounting Assembly), 109.100-11! This original structural fitting formed part of the internal mounting system used to secure the fuselage-mounted bomb or auxiliary fuel-tank carrier installation to the aircraft structure.

The Me109 could be equipped with various centerline external-store installations depending on aircraft configuration, including bomb racks and carriers for the 300-liter auxiliary fuel tank. These external carriers were not simply attached to the aircraft skin, but transferred their loads into reinforced structural mounting points within the lower fuselage and wing-spar area. The Messerschmitt Ersatzteilliste identifies this assembly as Aufhängung am Flügelträger, vollständig, or complete suspension/mount at the wing spar, forming part of the structural support for the external stores installation.

Made of heavy steel, this original Me109 mounting assembly is in EXCELLENT used condition! The piece has been completely cleaned and is now bare metal, ready for refinishing or installation. There is some VERY LIGHT age-related surface pitting and minor storage wear, but NO serious corrosion, cracks, breaks, bends, repairs, or structural damage. All mounting holes and attachment points remain intact and usable, and the assembly is solid and structurally sound. Everything present is 100% ORIGINAL wartime German manufacture. I have shown its location in the last photos. An EXTREMELY RARE structural Me109 external-stores mounting component and an EXCELLENT restoration or reference piece for any advanced Luftwaffe or Messerschmitt collection!
