Description
You are bidding on a SUPERB and EXACT reproduction example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe SZKK2 Schalt-Zähl-Kontrollkasten (Ammunition Counter Switch Box), Fl. 47317, as ONLY used in the Me109 K, Fw190 D9, Me110, Me262, Me163, Ho229, and Ju87 D aircraft! This is an AIRWORTHY AND FUNCTIONAL REPLICA, copied directly from an original.
This Round Counter Box was located on the main instrument console. It had either the SZ500 or SZ100 Round counters installed to indicate the current ammunition count for each weapon. The counters flashed whenever one round of ammunition was spent, and remained solid white when a “jam” was present.
Made of aluminum and steel, this is an AMAZING item! It is in EXCELLENT unused condition, and was copied EXACTLY from an original SZKK2 in every way, including utilizing original wartime parts! Do not confuse this with the cheaper copies coming from Eastern Countries that only give the basic shape and are cheaply made. This is copied right down to the exact detail, and is in FUNCTIONING condition! There is virtually NO difference between this replica and the originals! I have only ever owned TWO originals in the last 25 years, which makes it difficult to build and complete any cockpit panels. With this replica being a exact match in every way, it will allow collectors to finally complete their instrument panels with as much authenticity as possible! Originals (if you can find them) fetch $4000+, making this an amazing opportunity. I only have 2 remaining of the 5 I had made, and I will not be having any more made going forward (these 3 are the last). I have shown the location in the Me262, Me163, and Ju87 in the last photos. Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection or display!
Please note that as I have multiple quantities, the item you recieve may look slightly different than the item depicted in the auction photos.
