You are bidding on a SUPERB and VERY RARE example of a 100% ORIGINAL WW2 German Luftwaffe Wood NSFK National Emblem (Swastika), as used only on WW2 German Reconnaissance and Glider aircraft! This was brought back by a US Veteran who cut the piece out from an aircraft at Straubing Airfield at war’s end.
Made of lightweight wood, this section is a SUPERB piece of history! Dating around 1944/1945, it retains 95% of it’s original paint and markings! Brought back by a US veteran, there are some slight wear, cracks, and damage, but otherwise PERFECT! Due to the red paint UNDER the camouflage paint, it suggests that the aircraft it was removed from was original painted with a red/white NFSK marking. Probably an Fi156, DFS230, or other wood covered aircraft/glider. Measuring approx. 14″ x 14″, it would make for a SUPERB display! A VERY RARE addition to any collection or display!
