WW2 German Luftwaffe Aircraft Pilotensitz – ALUMINUM PILOT SEAT – Me109 – RARE!

You are bidding on a VERY RARE example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Messerschmitt Me109 Pilotensitz (Pilot Seat), 109.102-010! This original aluminum seat was installed in the cockpit and formed the primary seating structure for the pilot together with the associated adjustment, mounting, and safety-belt hardware.

The Me109 pilot’s seat was mounted within the cockpit on a dedicated support and adjustment system that allowed it to be securely retained while still permitting the positioning required for the pilot. The original Messerschmitt Ersatzteil-Liste identifies the complete pilot seat as “Sitz vollständig,” within the Rumpfeinrichtung, or fuselage equipment group. The lightweight seat was designed specifically for installation within the compact Me109 cockpit and incorporated mounting points for the seat-adjustment structure and pilot restraint system.

Made of riveted aircraft-grade aluminum, this original Me109 pilot seat is in VERY GOOD original used condition! The seat remains substantially complete and retains approximately 20% of its original wartime finish, with the remainder showing exposed aluminum, scratches, oxidation, staining, and normal age-related wear from use and storage. The overall structure remains solid, although the seat has a slight twist/distortion. There are NO major missing sections to the seat shell itself, and the original riveted construction, rolled edges, mounting points, and associated brackets remain present as shown. The original safety-belt attachment fittings are missing, however, I do have original set available separately in another auction listing if anyone wishing to complete the seat with the correct lap-belt attachment hardware. Everything present is 100% ORIGINAL wartime German manufacture. I have shown its location in the last images. An EXTREMELY RARE surviving Me109 cockpit component and an outstanding restoration piece for any advanced Luftwaffe, Messerschmitt, cockpit, or aircraft restoration collection!
